How the live Schumann resonance readings are made

The dashboard turns low-frequency electromagnetic sensor data into a small set of readable measurements. This method note describes the signal path without presenting a live value as more certain than its source allows.

Signal and cavity

Ground-based ELF sensors record a low-frequency band in which lightning-excited Earth–ionosphere cavity modes can be observed. The familiar 7.83 Hz value is an approximate fundamental reference, not a universal constant that every reading must match exactly.

Extraction and display

The dashboard extracts F1 frequency, relative F1 amplitude, and Q F1 from processed sensor data. Values are associated with UTC timestamps, while spectrogram images provide the wider frequency-time pattern around the summary numbers.

Interpretation limits

The measurements describe electromagnetic signal behavior at a sensor location and processing interval. They do not identify a single cause by themselves, and they should not be used to diagnose people, forecast health outcomes, or replace domain-specific research.
